Wild Times Project

Responsibilities: Wordpress CMS

I was hired on to assist a web designer to complete a site. Within 2 days, I was in charge of it and the original designer was let go. Within 8 days, one of the team members and I redid the wordpress theme from scratch (the original was too broken to make it worth fixing) and we got her working site up.

Wow!

I think that was the fastest turn around of a site (this original) that I have ever done. Luckily I had the team member to tag team this with. She handled the content and the client, while I handled the Theming and backend stuff.

The client is hiking down the pacific coast, and plans to be posting community art projects along the way. So having a site that was mobile friendly (responsive) was important to her. As art projects are posted, users are able to submit their photos of it and eventually see it added to the site.

The blog is a bunch of “tranmissions” that the client is submitting during the hike. Each post is the just a thumbnail, you hover over it to view the title. We’ve been through a few versions of this page now. The latest version has a sidebar.
